I was reading a photography magazine the other day and came across one of those “your garden is a world in it self” articles. I have often come across these articles and most of the time I have skipped them. This time I read it and decided to explore this idea. I decided to spend a day shooting my garden. Equipped with my 5D, variety of lenses, remote setup and Alien Bee´s, I tried different setups and motif´s.
Flowers were easy, trees leafs and assorted still things were photographed with mixed results. Birds feeding and nearly getting heart attacks when the strobes lit up their world. No animals were were hurt during the process but I must say that there is no longer any action by the bird feeder, no feeding frenzy, the birds are gone.
Well I have them on my memory card and hopefully some will show up again after getting over their shock
All in all it was a fun day and in the end I got a shot I was pleased with.
